HC/HB is Alcad's high-power pocket-plate Ni-Cd cell, using very thin plates to deliver high currents over short periods, usually under 30 minutes. It handles frequent or infrequent discharges and is typically specified for engine starting and UPS duty, with a 20+ year life and robust tolerance of electrical and mechanical abuse.
